Spring Session:  April 3rd to May 1st 1999

Dear Art Camp Students and Parents,

My name is Chris McGarry (art camp instructor), I am happy to announce the spring session of Art Camp '99.  The Camp will begin on Sat. April 3rd from 1-3pm and continue for 5 Saturdays.  There will be Programs running throughout the summer in 5 week intervals.  A schedule for those programs will be available in April.

If you wish to attend one of the classes in progress, please feel free to come in on Sat. afternoons from 1-3pm.

Spring Session

• 1/2 hour movie on Latin masks and their history
• 1 hour sketching faces and masks

• Begin 3-D mask making
• as well, sketching and drawing techniques will continue if students prefer this over the sculpture exercises.

• continue 3-D mask making
• sketching techniques - focus on proportion and scale

• Paint 3-D masks
• sketching techniques - focus on tone & shading

• Group mural and discussion of mask making experience
• portrait sketches - discussion of various techniques
