The McAllen International Museum Board of Trustees now invites people throughout the Lower Rio Grande Valley to join in a public/private partnership to be the "source" from which the world-class family learning center "springs up."
Widespread community support of the New Millennium Campaign will demonstrate the area's commitment to quality educational and cultural experiences, to the growth and development of the region's children, and to the overall quality of life for everyone in the Valley.
Already the City of McAllen has pledged $1.7 Million for the capital projects, and the Junior League is underwriting the Science Playground. The campaign provides a variety of opportunities for individuals, foundations, businesses, and community organizations to support the plans of the McAllen International Museum. Tax-deductible campaign contributions may take the form of cash; pledges over three-to-five year period; donations of securities, tangible personal property, or real estate; and bequests and other types of planned giving. All contributions will be acknowledged in publicity in the categories noted unless anonymity is requested. In addition, donors of $1000 or more will be recognized permanently in the Museum. |
The campaign also provides opportunities for donors of major gifts to name spaces or components of the new Museum complex, to be recognized for endowment gifts designated for specific programs and to endow staff positions.
