“Steel Judgment: The Sculpture of Ed Wilson”

McALLEN INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM
SEPTEMBER 2ND

Seven steel and cast iron sculptures from the work of Ed Wilson will be on display at the McAllen International Museum starting September 2. Some of Wilson’s sculptures reflect concern for the natural environment, while others seem to comment on issues of aggression or coercion. Many of his works are characterized by contrasts, such as the melding of a gun with a tricycle, or the rendering of a tree stump in jagged steel.

“Steel Judgment: The Sculpture of Ed Wilson” will be in the Art Gallery and Mini-Gallery of the McAllen International Museum through November 21. Be sure to see these remarkable works of art. This is a beautiful and thought-provoking exhibition that will change the way many of us view the purpose and limits of sculpture.
