“Una Mezcla de Culturas” celebrates the dynamic blending of cultures in the South Texas and northeast Mexico border region. It is a wonderful opportunity for the Museum to feature its growing collection of works by Latin American artists from the region and beyond, including Jose Clemente Orozco, Rufino Tamayo, Artemio Guerra, and Miguel Ancona.

Also included are works from the collections of several local artists and collectors. These include Carmen Lomas Garza, Maria Elena Macias, and Esau Peña. The exhibition will include both two and three- dimensional pieces.

“Una Mezcla de Culturas” opens Sunday, April 22 and runs through Sunday, September 2, 2001.
