The Duraply: South Texas Community College Art Faculty Exhibition is devoted to the work of the talented art faculty of STCC. It includes works by Eduardo Garcia, Rebecca Jones, Monica Camero, Richard Smith, Joyce Kristoffy-Hewlett and Rachael F. Brown. The diversity of their talent is reflected in the variety of media displayed in this show.

Eduardo Garcia is known for his printmaking, shown in his Collographs, and his paintings reflect colors and subjects common to the Valley.

Rebecca Jones is fascinated with the enduring beauty of architecture. Her travel to Prague allowed her to photograph doors of amazing elegance and detail.

Richard Smith's precise, somewhat lonely paintings remind us of Edward Hooper.

Monica Camero adds a touch of humor and whimsy to her work that is arresting and effective.

Joyce Kristoffy-Hewlett dazzles with her Raku ceramics series, an ancient yet beautiful form dating back to the 8th century Japan.

Rachael F. Brown's bright watercolors mix beauty and social conscience with great force.

The Duraply: South Texas Community College Art Faculty Exhibition will be on display through June 9, 2002
